Many names, one goal
This program, sometimes called Adult Foster Care, Adult Family Care, Home Care or Home Health Aid, helps friends and family members of the person receiving care to take on the responsibilities of 24-hour personal care by providing payment from the state.
Eligible family members that can be paid as caregivers include siblings, adult children, and other relatives, but not the care recipient’s spouse, parent of minors, or legal guardian.
